The Steel Structure Reading Pod is a compact, standalone room designed for book lovers, remote workers, or anyone seeking a quiet retreat. Built with lightweight galvanized steel and modular panels, this pod can be placed in a backyard, on a rooftop, inside a community garden, or alongside a rural courtyard.

1. Acoustic Comfort for Deep Focus
The wall system combines acoustic insulation wool, air gaps, and sealed double-glazed windows. Outside noise levels up to 60 dB are reduced to below 30 dB inside – quieter than a library.

2. Strong & Weather-Resistant Frame
The steel frame meets seismic grade 8 and wind resistance up to 35 m/s. All steel is hot-dip galvanized against rain and humidity, making the pod suitable for all seasons without rust or corrosion.

3. Smart Natural Lighting
Floor-to-ceiling tempered glass on one or two sides provides ample daylight while UV-coated glass protects books and eyes from glare. An optional skylight adds overhead light for evening reading.

4. Healthy Air & Temperature
A silent ventilation system with HEPA filter exchanges air every 30 minutes. The insulated walls (up to 100mm EPS or rockwool) keep interior temperature stable. A small electric radiator or fan coil can be added for extreme climates.

Inside, you decide: built-in floating shelves, a window bench, a small desk, or lounge seating. Wall panels are pre-drilled for easy shelf installation. Floor loading supports up to 250 kg/m² for heavy bookcases.

6. Easy Installation & No Foundation Needed
The pod comes as a flat-pack kit with numbered parts. On a prepared gravel or concrete base, two people can assemble it in one weekend. No heavy machinery or structural changes to your existing house are required.
